Financial Therapy for Women
Helping you heal your relationship with money and yourself.
Serving clients in North Carolina
Despite being intelligent, accomplished and competent in other areas of your life, you can’t seem to get a handle on your money issues. On the outside you seem to have it all together but inside you are struggling.
You are focused on making more money without a definition of how much is ENOUGH.
No amount of money is making you feel secure.
You spend money on stuff to make yourself feel better in the moment but end up feeling guilty when the newness wears off.
The more you make, the more you spend and you worry about not being able to afford your lifestyle if you were to lose your income.
You feel overwhelmed, discouraged, and hopeless when thinking about money and secretly wish someone would come along and take care of it for you.
You feel ashamed because you think you should be better with money.
You compare your financial situation to other people your age, or at least your perception of their financial situation, and feel like you don’t measure up.
You feel nervous about the idea of sharing your finances and feelings about money with anyone. You are worried about feeling judged.
Money shame runs deep! It makes you believe you aren’t good enough.
Most people were taught not to talk about money and believe if you aren’t “good with money” that it’s your own fault. It’s not your fault!
It takes a lot of courage to be open about your money stuff.
If you want to feel good about your relationship with money, I’d love to help you get there!
You need a safe and supportive space to talk about your thoughts, feelings, and beliefs about money without being judged. I will sit with you as you face the reality of your financial situation with compassion and acceptance.
We will unpack the ways in which your family, friends, culture, society etc. have contributed to the story you tell yourself about money and identify ways in which this story is playing out in your adult life.
You are the expert on yourself. I have education, training, and experience that help me know ways to guide you toward a healthier version of yourself and healthier relationship with money.
You don’t have to figure this out on your own. It is ok to talk about money.
I am here to help you.
Her Financial Therapy, PLLC. is a virtual psychotherapy practice serving women across North Carolina. The initial 75-minute assessment session is $180 and 50-minute return sessions are $150. Most of my clients meet with me every week to start and then every other week for a total of about 4-6 months. We are a self-pay practice that does not accept insurance. Payment is due at the time of service.
I provide compassionate shame-free Financial Therapy designed specifically for women and mothers in North Carolina who experience money as a source of stress and anxiety. Recognizing that financial stress and anxiety can be deeply intertwined with all other areas of your life and systems of oppression, I provide a supportive environment where you can explore your relationship with money without judgment.
Using a systemic approach, we’ll work together to identify and shift the underlying beliefs and patterns that contribute to feelings of shame, fear and unworthiness around money and the sources of these beliefs and patterns. My goal is to help you cultivate a sense of calm and confidence in your relationship with money and yourself.
Through our collaborative work together, you’ll learn to trust yourself with money and develop a healthier mindset that empowers you to use money to live a life you love.
